Our Care Options
Our purpose-built care homes offer a home for all of our residents in their own, individual and independent way. Our longstanding team of experienced nurses, carers, kitchen teams, gardeners and activity coordinators are here 24/7 to meet their needs, no matter how small.
We are led by the small things that matter on a daily basis, underpinned by our values of Dignity, Respect, Independence and Individualism. Working with both residents and their families we provide a safe environment, where residents get to feel inspired, stimulated and nourished every day.
We are regulated by the Care Quality Commission and we routinely audit our own homes, building on an attitude of continuous learning, transparency and sharing of best practice.
The Sands is our primary care home, covering residential, nursing and dementia nursing. Our residential home is found on the ground floor, with x individualised rooms for the residents. Care here focuses on personal care, washing, dressing and taking medication. The middle floors comprise our nursing home, which also includes the provision of qualified nursing staff. Our upper most floor is reserved for dementia nursing care, which focuses on providing expert care in this area from our team of nursing and carer professionals.
All of the units of care within our Sands care home are underpinned by a daily stimulation and enabling of independence wherever possible. We look after individuals, not an institution, and it is about respecting their needs, wants and likes to create a happy environment for all.
Our purpose-built care home in the leafy suburbs of Hest Bank is the perfect, peaceful location for our dementia residential care.
Our residents are welcomed with a friendly face, calming surroundings and home-cooked meals, created in our on-site kitchen.
Personalised with individual décor, belongings and furnishings, each bedroom is tailored to the resident. Organised activities and excursions bring a quality of life that we are proud to offer our residents. Our doors are always open for a chat or a kind word for families, friends and, of course, our occupants themselves.
We understand the importance of a quality rating. We are proud of our commitment to working to recognised standards in professional care.
Our rating is based on how well we reach standards against five key questions: how safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led is our care. Using the judgement of independent inspection teams, the final rating is aggregated from a total score against all of these elements.
